Church | 1907-1914 | Neogothic | Catholic Church
Invitation to six artists to illuminate the six confessionals with contemporary works. The confessionals express the theme of the back and the attic, as they were once used to hold the most hidden of human feelings and regrets. Our aim here is to restore the value of this furniture, which may be out of fashion today, by illuminating it with visual art.
The exhibition will run until 8 June. Exhibition curator: Monique VOZ
Guided tour limited to a maximum of 10 people per group (adults only, good physical condition required) and subject to prior registration (registration by email: jm.leroy@skynet.be).
Detailed explanations of the church's main stained glass windows, no prior registration necessary.
Historical, poetic and musical components of confessionals as places of resilience. Monique Voz, theologian, will give the historical part, accompanied by musician Christian Deblanc and quotations recited by a storyteller.
