Quite a challenge for an animal we hardly notice in everyday life and are more likely to see as a pest.

As a member of the Dendermonde School, his subjects often included church interiors, cityscapes, beguinage scenes, sporadic scenes of the Scheldt, flower arrangements, fairs and annual markets. He used a realistic design with a luministic touch. His...

In the recently beautifully restored beguinage church, the silence and devotion of centuries of beguine mysticism is still tangibly present. A story of emancipation.

    Choose from:
    1. The incredibly rich imagery or iconography of the confessionals (Saturday)
