The Notre-Dame de Chèvremont Chapel was built in 1688 by the English Jesuits who had fled persecution in their country. They had set up a college in Liege for their students and seminarians and, according to their custom, they had found a country house in the place called "La Heid-du-Loup" (the college was located on the site of the English Hospital in Liege). During their walks around the site, they erected a small oratory which attracted the local inhabitants. In...

On the hillsides between Ourthe and Amblève, slightly off the Nationale 30 Liège-Aywaille-Spa, you will be immediately seduced by discovering, in a green and protected area, a harmonious group of buildings made of ferruginous stone, being the former priory of the Canons of Saint-Augustin whose conventual church, built in 1701, became a parish church in 1803 and listed in 1948: the object of the visit. From afar, your attention will be immediately captured by the finesse and elegance of the...

Various sanctuaries have succeeded one another on the site now occupied by the collegiate church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Domitian. Of the Romanesque church, only the vast crypt remains, where the treasure is on display. The main façade of the massive west tower of the collegiate church features the famous "Rondia". In this stained glass window we can see two circles, a blue one symbolising the Virgin and a red one for the blood of the 10 Hutu martyrs. It is...

Before the Second World War, the church of Dochamps, now listed, was one of the most remarkable religious buildings in the region. This is mainly due to its furniture, but above all to its painted stucco ceiling, which was made by the Dinanese artist Maya. The statue of Saint Joseph was part of the old altar. Baroque, it "survived" the damage suffered by the church during the Ardennes Offensive.

The concert will be performed by Peter Verhoyen on flute and piccolo and harpist Ann-Sofie Verhoyen. These two excellent musicians will present a tasty programme in which father and daughter will play pieces they recorded last year on the CD entitled "The Nightingale". The concert will be a pleasant summery mix of well-known melodies of virtuoso nimbleness interspersed with subdued evening sounds.
