1 & 2 June 2024The baroque Sint-Pieterskerk with Gothic choir provides the beautiful setting for a concert featuring Bart Jacobs, playing the 300-year-old Delahaye organ, and Dina Verheyden, playing the carillon, installed in 2017, in succession.
Bart Jacobs is organist-titularist of St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral in Brussels. Dina Verheyden is carillonneur at Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-over-de-Dijlekerk in Mechelen and at Sint-Pieterskerk in Puurs.

1 & 2 June 2024In March 2024, the painting was hung back in place above the main altar. This was immediately the final part of the restorations. The altar of Mary, the main altar and the Martinus altar now shine back in their former splendour. On Sunday, restorer Bart Verbeke will explain his work. The whole event will be accompanied by music. Free visits are possible throughout the weekend and explanations will be given on Sunday afternoon.Admire the restored paintings in the church

Polina Constantinova, art historian at the Museum am Dom in Trier, takes a closer look at the flowers and plants (lilies, palms, grapes, etc.) in the church interior and "translates" them for us. -

On Sunday 2 June at 3 pm and 4.30 pm, students from the early music department of the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, coordinated by Haut-ittrois Benoît Douchy, will perform a repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries. The 45-minute concerts will conclude with an aperitif. -

1 & 2 June 2024Sandra Vande der Gucht will play the historic Van Peteghem organ (1834) during this concert entitled "Masked Ball" and let us hear works by Isfrid Kayser, Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, Carl Philippe Emmanuel Bach, Christoph Graupner, François Couperin and Joseph Haydn, all music from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries.
Sandra (b 1979, Ghent) obtained a master's degree in organ in 2006 from the Lemmens Institute in Leuven, and today teaches a.o. accompaniment practice and keyboard at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent.... -
1 & 2 June 2024The small village church is romantically situated on the banks of the reservoir and is dedicated to St Valentine, the patron saint of lovers. Around the baroque high altar, roses entwine around Mary, who proudly presents her little son. The rose symbolises eternal love. However, it is also the flower of the Virgin Mary, as depicted in the famous altarpiece Mary in the rosebushes in Colmar in Alsace. -
