Giving creativity space. Drawing, painting. How is a stained-glass window made?
In the ninth century, the count of Flanders donated the forest "van ongenade" to Razo of Gavere, lord of Liedekerke. This well-known family built a fortified castle and probably also the first parish church. The earliest reference to the church dates from 1092. At the end of the 16th century, the church was burnt down and rebuilt. Only the tower from 1636, built in regular sandstone, was spared.
At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, the church was enlarged and fitted with a pointed steeple. Three confessionals date from 1636. The church is built in red brick.
