Festive Festival Musical Mass with the participation of student cellists (Professor Matthieu Widart), the titular organist, José Dorval, and René-Paul Lambeaux, liturgical cantor. Musical welcome from 9.45am and audition after the service.
Work of the Namur architect Albert Ghequiere, the Church of the Sacred Heart, built in 1932-1934, is a remarkable example of modern religious architecture linked to the evolution of reinforced concrete techniques, allowing the total stone covering of the country.
The building also attracts for its magnificent frescoes made by Father Couturier in 1948-1950, and for its organ built by the Merklin house, now the Schyven firm, in the first half of the 19th century.
