Once inside, it is the space, the volume which must hold all our attention. No pillar hinders the overall view, except for those supporting the rood screen.
Facing the entrance, in the chevet, the main altar by Hubert Hyard de Liège (1751-1752) is literally enthroned. It rests on a marble base, in the middle of which a glorious Delta (1784) catches our eye.
The altarpiece is by Renier del Communes from Maastricht. It is decorated with statues of adoring angels and cherubs. The Holy Spirit is surmounted by a crucifix of 1783.
With enough distance, look up at the rood screen and its organ: majestic. With solid panels, the rood screen is decorated with trophies of musical instruments and topped by two female statues. At the top, David.
The current organ is a Binvignat. It dates from 1785. The case is still original as well as many pipes. It has undergone several restorations.
At the end of the XVIIIth century, Jean Soiron made a large part of the furniture.
- The Pulpit of Truth, on the vat and the banister, we find the 4 Evangelists. The whole is surmounted by a "sky" on which a gilded Saint John the Baptist calls to listen.
- The confessionals whose pediments are represented by medallions, mitres, statuettes, ...
- The two side altars are also made by him (of Saint Anne and the Virgin).
- Stalls, communion benches, benches, ... complete his work.
