    More than 700 years ago, Thomas von Siebenborn was Lord of Septfontaines and companion in arms to Emperor Henry VII, who died in his arms in Buonconvento (Italy) in 1313. Knight Thomas then returned to Septfontaines and had a church built, or rather enlarged the existing church. There is already evidence of a church here in 1205 and 1301.
