Midday concert with the Peeters brothers

Erwin Peeters (°1962) studied piano and organ at the Municipal Music Academy of Turnhout, where his teachers included Werner Vanneste and Joris Verdin. Later, Erwin also studied double bass with Maurice Aerts and Ludo Joly in Mechelen and Turnhout, in combination with his engineering studies. Since 2000, he has been organist-titularist at the Pentecostal Church of Turnhout. Besides accompanying the Pentecostal choir, he is also responsible for the maintenance of the organ (Klais Opus 900).

Jef Peeters (°1996) first studied modern oboe with Bas Matthijssen at the Stedelijke Muziekacademie van Turnhout, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2014. In 2015, he was introduced to the baroque oboe after meeting Marcel Ponseele. This led to a great passion for the instrument. Consequently, after obtaining 2 masters, he started his baroque oboe studies at the Leuven Conservatory with Griet Cornelis in 2021. Since 2022, he and Erwin have dedicated themselves to building baroque oboes. They play Handel and Vivaldi as well as Morricone.

Organ concert

Organ concert with Mark Duville (B)

16 July 2024 : 12.15 - 13.00

Organ concert with Mark Duville (B)

Mark Duville is an amateur musician in the truest sense of the word: an enthusiastic lover of music and making music. His musical training began at the youth music school in Edegem, soon followed by the music academy in Mortsel where he studied solfège, piano and clarinet. A thorough education as an engineer and computer scientist interrupted the music training somewhat, but later provided him with a stable job in the medical sector. Since 2011, he has been taking organ classes, both at the Mortsel academy and in a number of organ courses in Belgium and abroad (Gedinne, Tongeren, Saessolsheim, Poitiers, Kaliningrad). He is also active with chamber music, orchestra (clarinet), and occasional ensembles. He plays works by Couperin, Sweelinck and de Grigny.
