Church | XVI-XVIII | Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical | Catholic Church
A central feature of Barbençon, a village listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia, the Gothic and Renaissance-style Saint-Lambert Church includes a porch tower dating from 1589, which was remodelled in 1720. The ogival portal, surmounted by a stone bearing a coat of arms, bears the Ligne family crest and their motto, “Tant que dure” (As long as it lasts). During the heritage weekend, the church will be surrounded by stalls selling local produce and will host a conference on hospitality and flavours in and around Beaumont over the centuries.
