The season will be concluded by Rien Donkersloot who will play both carillon and organ. Rien is active as organist and carillonneur in Amersfoort, Brielle, Goes, Ridderkerk, etc. On carillon, he will let listeners enjoy a sonata by Doles, among others, but variations on a minuet by Beethoven. On organ, he will perform works by Böhm, Bach and Mozart, but will also perform an improvisation of his own.

On this Tuesday, Koen Van Assche will also perform the premiere of Geert D'hollander's new composition ‘A Festive Turn(h)out’. This Flemish/American composer has once again been commissioned to write a composition. This time to celebrate 250 years since the bells for St Peter's Church were cast. It will be a virtuosic yet lyrical work, entitled ‘A Festive Turn(h)out’. It will be premiered by city carillonneur Koen Van Assche, and will subsequently be distributed to all carillonneurs around the world.
