Next weekend, on 6 and 7 June, the 19th edition of Open Churches Days will take place.
The 2026 Open Churches Days in Belgium will feature over 180 events across the country, with more than 400 member churches opening their doors to the public on Sunday 7 June for self-guided tours.
Across Europe, there will be over 250 events taking place here, as well as in France and Luxembourg.
With concerts, exhibitions and workshops for all ages, there is something for everyone.
Churches were once again the focus of attention this weekend (June 6–7, 2026), specifically as “places of remembrance.” This is not only because memorials can be found in or near almost all churches, some of which commemorate terrible events. They are also places of personal remembrance for many residents of Luxembourg.
Strong interest among the population and tourists in the cultural heritage of the nobility, which can be found in the churches.
