The Benedictine brother Notker Becker (1883-1979) was an important painter and draughtsman of the Beuron School of Art. He painted the interior walls of the church and the monastery chapel in today's retirement home in Mersch, as well as the parish church in Dudelange. Alex Bodry is a former member of parliament, minister and mayor of Dudelange. The talk will be in Luxembourgish. -
Exhibition inspired by the creative genius of Albert Van huffel, his choice of materials and the art that can form an overall concept with them, then and now. Works by artists from the 20th and 21st centuries translate these periods characterised by rapid change.The exhibition can be seen at the Museum of Modern Religious Art from 28 March on Fridays and Sundays from 2pm to 4pm.

Discover the extraordinary story of Ivor Gurney, a young British poet and composer. During the First World War, he stayed in Buire-au-Bois after being wounded. During his convalescence, he wandered through the Buire countryside, which inspired his poetry and music. Before leaving for the Ypres front in 1917, he took part in a concert in the Buire-au-Bois church. On his return to England, the memory of Ivor Gurney fell into oblivion in Buire-au-Bois, until Reniere & Depla, a couple of Belgian... -
