Cathedral | XIII-XV | Gothic | Catholic Church
Visitors will climb the steps of the cathedral tower staircase dating from the early 15th century. They will reach the upper part of the tower, completed in 1811, where the eight bells are installed. This tower mimics the silhouette of the old cathedral's great tower and may have been built with materials from the diocese's former main church. Visitors will then walk through the framework of the main nave. This framework was built in four main stages between the mid-13th century (choir, transept and first two bays of the nave) and 1330 (last three bays of the nave and apse). Through the door of the north transept gable, visitors will be able to enjoy a unique view of the cathedral square and the city centre.
Reservations required, ages 12 and up.
