Get into the Christmas spirit with the choirs of the Flemish, Polish, African, Filipino and Kosovar Albanian Catholic communities. They will join voices and treat you to carols from all over the world. Each choir sings some carols from their own culture and language, but together they also sing some Christmas classics.The concert will take place next to the nativity scene, outside on the Grote Markt. Gaudioso will perform a Christmas concert at St Peter's Church in Turnhout again this year. The nativity scene in St Martin's Church is a unique sight: in addition to the stable and traditional figures, there is a stream, a bridge, a sheep pasture, and so on. In the beautiful Romanesque church of Saint-Séverin, a Christmas sung by the Ensemble Vocal Amalgam from Haccourt-Visé. The carols will be interspersed with a number of Christmas tales. That same evening, also in the church, an exhibition of nativity scenes will be inaugurated. 15 nativity scenes will be on display from 14 to 24 December. -
Come and admire around fifteen pretty Christmas nativity scenes in the superb Romanesque church of Saint-Séverin. The exhibition opens on Saturday 14 December at 7.30pm with the ‘Noël chanté et conté’ concert. The exhibition is open daily from 15 to 24 December from 2pm to 6pm, or by appointment.
