On Saturday 26 April, the Contius Foundation will present music and pleas for peace for 12 hours at the Leuven Saint Michael's Peace Church. Organists and choirs will give their best, interspersed with the pleas of speakers who are manifestly committed to social problems such as peace and also climate and social justice. Among others, Luc Sels (rector of KU Leuven) and Mohamed Ridouani (mayor of Leuven) will share their views and their visions on peace issues. Performers : Francesca Ajossa, Peter Breugelmans, David Burn, Nicolas De Troyer, Bernard Foccroulle, Luc Ponet, Noémie Schellens, Joris Verdin, Bart Verheyen, Wim Winters, the choirs Ancora, Capella Lovaniensis and Florilegium, pupils of the Paridaens Institute and organ students from Antwerp, Ghent, Leuven, Namur
Beyond the known sights inside the church, we take a once-over to the site of the crypt. We also highlight the place where one of the most famous Flemish Jesuits is buried. Not to be missed.
