Churches are places of quiet that fascinate us. The small village churches of the Ösling region are often the oldest and most attractive buildings in those villages. They can tell stories; through to today, this is where the world of religious iconography and art come together. 1. Troisvierges: former church of a Franciscan monastery

   (1640) with stunning Baroque furnishings, including the statues of the “three virgins” who give the village its name.

2. Biwisch: attractive chapel

   For many centuries, the attractive chapel was the meeting-place for the community in this village.

3. Basbellain: this noble church

   This noble church, with its particularly tall spire, was built in 1872 in the Neo-Gothic style. It has a stunning interior, with valuable Baroque statues. The baptismal font, gravestones, and archaeological finds are testimony to a heritage extending back over a thousand years, to Roman times. 

4. Hautbellain: church neo-gothic

   The warm colours applied during the last renovation underline the Neo-Gothic architecture of the harmonious church interior. 

5. Huldange: church with artistic glass elements

   The church, built after World War II, features exceptionally artistic elements in glass which flood the interior space with coloured light. It stands alongside the spire of the earlier church

6. Goedange: romantic chapel

   The romantic village chapel has a precious Baroque altar and attractive statues of saints. 

7. Wilwerdange: rare Art Deco style

   With its pure Art Deco style, this church building is unique in Luxembourg.

8. Drunklange: rustic pieta

   The small village chapel nestles between the houses; the treasured Pietà sculpture represents Mary cradling her crucified son in her lap.

9. Holler: a stunning three-aisle church

   A stunning three-aisle church whose foundation walls date back to the Middle Ages. The 14th-century Gothic vaulting has been renovated in its original colour tones. The church features Baroque furnishings dating from the 18th century.

10. Binsfeld: refined equipment

    The church contains ornately-designed Baroque altars and precious statues of the saints.
