Throughout the weekend, a fun and original activity awaits young and old alike: a treasure hunt through the four open places of worship. Each participant becomes a detective, setting out to solve puzzles and embark on an adventure to find the forgotten treasure. When? Open to all, no registration required, throughout the weekend. Where? The starting point is at Bras-Bas Church, where you’ll find the first map.
We are offering a guided walk entitled ‘Discovering the Rogation Processions (Crosses and Calvaries)’, led by Pierre-Yves Hotton, a heritage enthusiast. These crosses and calvaries form part of our heritage, and their locations are not always coincidental, as they often mark the route once taken by villagers during the rogation processions. These processions, which have now disappeared, took place during the three days leading up to Ascension Day. This walk will be an opportunity to retrace the route of the rogation processions, but also to understand their origins and the reasons behind this practice in our region. Where?
