Treasure hunt

Throughout the weekend, a fun and original activity awaits young and old alike: a treasure hunt through the four open places of worship. Each participant becomes a detective, setting out to solve puzzles and embark on an adventure to find the forgotten treasure. When? Open to all, no registration required, throughout the weekend. Where? The starting point is at Bras-Bas Church, where you’ll find the first map.
Walk: ‘Discovering the Rogation Crosses’

We are offering a guided walk entitled ‘Discovering the Rogation Processions (Crosses and Calvaries)’, led by Pierre-Yves Hotton, a heritage enthusiast. These crosses and calvaries form part of our heritage, and their locations are not always coincidental, as they often mark the route once taken by villagers during the rogation processions. These processions, which have now disappeared, took place during the three days leading up to Ascension Day. This walk will be an opportunity to retrace the route of the rogation processions, but also to understand their origins and the reasons behind this practice in our region. Where? Description
Remarkable monumental altar from the Carmelite convent of Marche-en-Famenne, made of partially marbled and gilded wood (18th century). The altarpiece of the high altar, in carved and polychrome wood, is a curious witness to the triumphalism of the Counter-Reformation. The Way of the Cross painted in 1853, the pulpit of truth and the stained glass windows are worth a visit.
