Following its fine concerts in 2023 and 2024, the Arcangelo string orchestra from Marcq-en-Baroeul returns under the direction of Perrine De Oliveira. This year they will be presenting their own version of this essential masterpiece of the string repertoire. In the spirit of exchange and friendship that binds the orchestra together, 4 soloists from its ranks will be putting their violins to the service of these concertos. Composed in 1724, the 4 violin concertos are the first in the cycle entitled ‘The Battle of Harmony and Invention’. They represent the emergence of the modern solo concerto, in which the violin assumes its independence and displays its virtuosity and expression.

Two friendly choirs meet

After a highly successful concert by the two choirs in Chéreng in the Nord region in March 2024 - in aid of the Rétina association - Les Voix du Fort de Wimereux are hosting the Ensemble vocal Résonance from Chéreng (59). Each choir and the children's choir, Les Voix Juniors, will perform part of their repertoire. The two adult choirs will then bring their 70 voices together to sing some songs together... Some works by Fauré, a programme of sacred and secular songs from the 15th century to the present day, some French songs about love and friendship, and songs about nature by the children will make up a varied programme for a moment of shared pleasure.
