As part of the 2024 Heritage Days, the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Wimereux is opening its doors to visitors between two phases of restoration. The programme for the weekend includes:- EXHIBITION of stained glass windows by the artist Henry Lhotellier, from the former minor seminary of Saint-Martin-Boulogne (on loan from the town of Saint-Martin-Boulogne),- EXHIBITION ‘The Nave and its artists’ (organised by the association Églises Ouvertes France), - EXHIBITION ‘Le Révérend Père Henry Delpierre, promoteur de la Nef’ (by the AEICW), - EXHIBITION ‘Henry Lhotellier, artist of the nave: stained glass windows in Wimereux and elsewhere’ (by the AIECW),- MUSICAL INTERMEDIATE on the organ (MH protected),- GUIDED TOURS at 10.30 am and 2.30 pm.
On Saturday 21.09: - LECTURE by François Descamps - 3.30pm: ‘Secular or sacred art: the revival of stained glass in the 20th century’,- TOUR of the villas of Wimereux by the association ‘Le Charme de Wimereux’ - Departure at 5pm.
On Sunday 22.09: - CONCERT by the municipal brass band - 4pm.
