The theme of the 2024 Heritage Days is networks and communication. Each historical period has had its own specific way of circulating and exchanging information, and Verrières Patrimoine has endeavoured to bring this to life for visitors to the weekend.
On the programme for Sunday 22.09.24 :
- screening of a short film produced by Gaptière Production on the history of Verrières, from its origins to the present day (meeting point in the former teacher's house),
- treasure hunt in the village and localities,
- discovery of the church's heritage treasures (stained glass windows, altarpieces, etc.).
Other activities on offer include a visit to the working communal bread oven (with a batch of bread), a tour of the nature reserve (flora and fauna), the Cidreraie (Verrières cider mill) and a stud farm (La Crochetière, home of the Percheron stallions).
During the day, the village will be explored by old-fashioned means of transport (clogs, dog-drawn carriages, bicycles, prams, 2CV Citroën and Solex).
