The exhibition ‘The Bible, Heritage of Humanity’ is an exhibition designed by the Alliance Biblique Française. Its aim is to present the various facets of the Bible from a cultural, historical, literary and non-denominational point of view. The Bible is part of our culture in many ways, often ignored or forgotten.
With this exhibition, the Alliance Biblique Française wants to remind us of the role of cultural reference that the Bible has played and still plays in our society and throughout the world, and the reasons that have led it to play this role. The exhibition can be presented in France and French-speaking countries, in all schools, cultural or religious associations wishing to present the Bible from a cultural and non-denominational point of view. It is aimed at a wide audience, whether connoisseurs or neophytes, believers or non-believers. It is therefore a useful teaching tool for teachers, particularly in History and Literature.
To ensure the neutrality of its presentation, the Alliance Biblique Française has called on the Institut Européen en Sciences des Religions (IESR), an establishment of the EPHE-Sorbonne responsible for training teachers in the teaching of religion.
