Discover the immersive experience “Éternelle Notre-Dame”, on display for a year beneath Lille Cathedral. A unique opportunity to extend the history of the famous Parisian cathedral by linking it to the great tradition of Gothic cathedrals that inspired its construction.Conceived in the wake of the terrible fire at Notre-Dame de Paris, this experience was devised by the Chairman of Orange and developed in collaboration with Amaclio Productions. For the past three years, it has enabled visitors to explore the cathedral in virtual reality, from its origins to the present day, traversing the major milestones of its history.Immersed at the heart of the monument, participants enjoy a striking experience, even encountering iconic figures such as Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, the famous architect who left his mark on its history.Taking part in this experience also means discovering the excellence of French expertise in virtual reality, recognised by prestigious international awards: the VR Award (AIXR) for the best immersive VR expedition in 2022, the Prix Numix, the Laval Virtual Award ‘VR for a cause’, as well as the ‘History and New Technologies’ prize.Presented for the first time in the region, three years after its launch in Paris, this experience has already gained international recognition, with presentations in Taiwan, China and, more recently, Brazil.
