7th Day Adventist Church Verviers

Invisible from the Rue des Déportés, the building of the Adventist church in Verviers at no. 74 does not attract the attention of passers-by. Tucked away on the right at the end of an oblong, descending corridor, it reveals itself without ostentation. And you could walk away feeling a little disillusioned if your eyes weren't drawn to a few seemingly insignificant details: a sun disk overhanging a promontory, the preacher's pulpit. It's hard to imagine that this overhang conceals a baptismal font. Could it be a vestige of the centuries-old tradition of baptisms in the churches of the first centuries of our era? The stained glass symbol leaves no doubt as to the identity of its creator.

Dating from the 1st half of the 20th century, this relatively new church exudes an atmosphere of simplicity and simplicity typical of evangelical Protestant churches. But if you pay a little attention, you'll notice some remarkable stones. Because the stones you find here are perhaps not where you think they are...
