The incarnation of God 2000 years after it happened is still the greatest and most difficult mystery for any believer. Many religions on this planet place God and man together, but for Christians, God became man in Jesus. That is of a totally different dimension. Jesus is both God and man. Not in turns, but at the same time. The human touch by Jesus is the touch by God. When Jesus dies on the cross, God dies. The end of the human Jesus is also the end of God. The resurrection is not just a happy ending, but the new dimension opened in the Incarnation buds in man's final participation in God's existence. What begins at His birth breaks open a road that brings home to God. To celebrate Christmas is to celebrate the longing for security in God, which culminates in Easter.
