01 June 2025 : 14.00 - 18.00Climbing the tower takes visitors past the beautiful Delahaye organ, the swinging bells and the carillon. Description
Although the Sint-Pieterskerk in Puurs was built in different building phases, it forms a particularly harmonious whole.
The eye-catcher is the baroque tower from the 17th century, crowned with an ornate spire. The highest tower room has housed a carillon with 50 bells since 2017. The interior of the church contains an organ by Louis I de la Haye from 1723, fine 18th-century furniture by the architect and sculptor Willem Ignatius Kerricx and a neo-Gothic high altar.
