Description
Shortly after 1958, a pavilion of the Expo 58 was purchased to serve, at Rieth Avenue Court, as an emergency church. This pavilion was demolished in 1995.
The final church was built in 1966 for the Mortsel neighbourhood of Hof van Rieth, designed by Jean Van den Bogaerde and Jos Van Driessche. The box-shaped building, in the style of post-war modernism, was built in concrete and brick. In 1968, the church was officially consecrated.
