In search of the animals and plants hidden in the church

The stained glass windows, statues, bells, coats of arms, ornaments, ex-votos and manuscripts of this Walloon heritage church are adorned with a curious array of domestic, wild and fantastic animals and plants of all kinds: a lion and a pelican here; a unicorn and a phoenix there; and mice, snakes, fish, acanthus leaves, laurel, forget-me-nots...

Come and discover their history, their symbolic attribution and many other anecdotes through 50 photo enlargements exhibited in the church of La Gleixhe, every weekend and public holidays, from 10am to 6pm, until All Saints' Day (explanatory leaflets).
