04 June 2023 : 14.00 - 18.00St. Nicholas Church has one of the oldest carillons in Belgium! It consists of 51 bells, the oldest of which dates from 1512. Climb the bell tower with a guide to discover this instrument up close. Tours depart at 2, 3, 4 and 5 pm. Places are limited, booking recommended.

Guided tour of the altarpiece in the Chapel of Our Lady of Messines
04 June 2023 : 14.00 - 18.00Located in the Saint-Nicolas church, the Notre-Dame de Messines chapel (formerly the Saint-Eloi chapel) houses an Antwerp altarpiece dating from the 16th century, considered to be one of the treasures of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. This altarpiece comes from the castle chapel in the park and relates several scenes from the life of the Virgin. Its completeness, state of preservation and sculptural quality make it one of the most beautiful Antwerp altarpieces still preserved in the world. The central part, carved in oak wood and decorated with paint and gold, consists of 127 figures. An enthusiastic guide will tell you all about it. Duration: 45 minutes.

04 June 2023 : 14.00 - 18.00The church of Saint-Nicolas includes some remarkable places such as the Porte à Loques, stained glass windows by Max Ingrand (1964), the chapel of the Rhetoricians, a wooden triptych in the Flemish primitive style, remarkable statues from the 15th century, the baptismal font... Discover it on a free visit on Sunday 4 June from 2 to 6 pm. A guide will be on hand to welcome you.
