Cycle of three lectures in connection with the exhibition.
Lecture given at the Archéoforum in Liège (Place Saint-Lambert - www.archeoforumdeliege.be) by Pierre Maes, director of the Manufacture De Wit in Mechelen.
The exhibition invites the Belgian and foreign public to discover the richness and beauty of this remarkable and unique collection of tapestries (15th-20th centuries), mainly from the château-museum and the churches of Saumur on the Loire.These 36 tapestries are spread over the two exhibition sites with a single admission ticket: 30 tapestries in five permanent exhibition rooms of the Liège Cathedral Treasury and 6 tapestries in the Paul Lohest room of the Liège Archéoforum.Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm in the Cathedral Treasury and the Archéoforum. On Sundays, only the Treasury exhibition is open from 1 to 5 pm. Closed on Mondays, 25 December 2021 and 1 January 2022.
