The new construction (1926-1928) combines stone work with modern materials such as reinforced concrete and metal for the structure. The windows are the work of Joseph Benoît (1871-1936): one shows Saint Sebastian welcoming refugees from the red zone and another evokes the forced flight of civilian populations during the conflict. The choir is illuminated by wall paintings by Duilio Donzelli (1882-1966) and the vault is decorated with a Christ Pantocrator.
San Sebastian de Belleville is part of a heritage itinerary that will cross 25 municipalities to discover the work of the painter Donzelli and will be accessible from mid-May 2019.
