Set strangely perpendicular to the old central canal, this church with its bell tower and clock has been newly painted and benefits from good lighting, which shows its interior to advantage.
It is a building with three naves supported by six columns of blue stone. There is a high altar with an altarpiece with Corinthian column capitals. The side altars are dedicated to the Virgin and John the Baptist, patron saint of the parish.
In a small chapel at the end of the church is a moving statue of the Good God of Mercy dating from the 18th century.
