In 2025, we will celebrate the 75th anniversary of this church. On that occasion, photos from then and now are on display in the church and the church's artworks are free to visit.
To replace the 18th century church (started and 1729, rebuilding finished and 1857) which was completely destroyed during the retreat of German troops in 1944.
The building is a brick construction under tiled gabled and pent roofs ; pointed arch windows. In niche above the main portal : bluestone statue of Our Lady by Ambert Poels.
Yellow brick interior ; A three-nave cross basilica with west tower with attached portals and baptistery.
That baptistery now serves as a daily, freely accessible oratory between 9 am and 5 pm.
Nave with 4 bays, wide transept and shallow choir with adjoining service rooms: sacristy, flower room, multipurpose room with toilet, weekly chapel accessible separately.
