A multidisciplinary exhibition showcasing local artists' work. Painting, drawing, acrylic pouring, airbrush, installation art, photography, floral art and others are on display.
The expo runs in the Guildhall, right opposite the church. In the Gildenhuis, you also have the opportunity to visit the local war museum on the upper floor. You can also visit the same Gildenhuis for a drink, the proceeds going to charity.
The construction of the present church began in 1757. The church was built in New-Greek style and 100 years later it was extended with transept, enlarged choir and a new tower. The interior kept its 18th century rococo appearance. The most striking feature is the monumental baroque high altar with two pairs of Corinthian columns, semicircular crown, kneeling angel group and a beautiful painting "Calvary" by the 17th century baroque painter de Crayer. Recently, the square around the church was redesigned and extra attention was paid to the gravestones around the church. You can find various gravestones of, among others, the former parish priests.
