A fine example of neo-Gothic architecture, rarely preserved in its original state, dating from 1852, the church of Saint-Remi in Gougnies is one of the stops on the pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Rolende, which takes place on Whit Monday. Its fine 19th-century furnishings include a superb gilded wooden altar.
Church built on the site of a Frankish cemetery, brick facade, listed since 2013, it is a stopover during the pilgrimage to Saint Rolende on Whit Monday. It has preserved beautiful 19th century furniture and stained glass windows by the master glassmakers Capronnier and Osterrath as well as a rich wall decoration made with an extremely rare stencil.
